On our road to continuous improvement, we will focus this year on maximizing the time available to provide quality professional development. As we continue to learn, we will be better able to prepare our students to meet the challenges of an ever-changing global economy. I look forward to an exciting, productive 2007-08 school year. Educators do many things right—most importantly, they work hard to make a positive difference in the lives of children. Here in West Covina, educators have always put students first and know that to meet their needs, they must continue to work to improve their skills. As a result of this commitment to continuous improvement, we have much to be proud of. Our schools continue to outperform similar schools in the state and we are closing in on our goal to reach an API of 800 by the year 2010.
