2007 DISTRICT WIDE CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR  – VAUGHN KRAYNAK

Vaughn Kraynak has served West Covina Unified School District with loyalty and dedication for the past 34 years – with perfect attendance! Following a tour of duty with the United States Army, on February 1, 1973 Vaughn was hired as the delivery driver where he served his early years.  He continued to work as a warehouseman for the next 5 years then became the lead warehouseman in 1984.

This employee has a zealous work ethic.  His tenacity to keep on task and be flexible as customer service needs arise is proof of his dedication to serve the West Covina Unified School District students and staff.  His attributes include an effort to get the job done quickly and move on to the next task.  He is “ready to go” with a can do attitude on any last minute call for service.  He is a quiet man who does not idle his time.  He works hard with consistency and sets a high standard to others around him.  

A year and a half ago Vaughn participated in the re-design of the warehouse and supported the transition 100%.  His experience to adapt to change and find solutions quickly are to be commended.  He leads the warehouse operation daily to ensure accurate receiving and deliveries are on schedule.  Vaughn supports the mission statement of WCUSD and believes that kids are number one!  Their success is the focus of his service to support.

His “strengths” are responsibility and dependability.  He possesses the characteristics of loyalty, trustworthiness, and  a customer service attitude that have benefited the students and staff of West Covina Unified School District and is very much appreciated.
