Welcome to Merlinda Elementary!  This is a very special school where students, parents, community, and staff work together to support and enhance learning. My name is Teresa Marquez and I am proud to be the new principal at Merlinda.  Whether you are new to the community or an established member, you play an important role in the vitality of our school.
As a parent you are welcome at Merlinda!  Parents are a valuable resource in the classroom and a wealth of support in so many ways.  Please consider sharing your time, talent, and ideas with us during the year.  We have many opportunities available for your involvement both during the school day and beyond.  There are numerous activities and events throughout the year that rely heavily on the commitment and dedication of parents, and your support is greatly appreciated by students and staff alike.  The most important role you play in your child’s education is as an advocate, with consistent encouragement and active interest.
