Principal's Message

"Building Bridges to Our Future"

2008-2009

Dear Cameron Community,

Back-to-School Night was a huge success! Parents had ample time to visit the classrooms, the library, and we "kicked off" the new school year with our redesigned computer lab and our brand new Parent Resource Center.

October promises to be another active month at Cameron! We have the "Scholastic Book Fair" from October 13-17, Family Reading Night on October 16, our first Parent Workshop on the same evening, and then Fall pictures on October 23. The YMCA will be hosting a "haunted House" on Saturday, October 25, and then we end the month on October 31 with a Spirit Day (Backwards Day) and a Red Ribbon Balloon Launch.

I would like to invite you to "Coffee with the Principal" at the Parent Resource Center on October 31 from 8:15AM to 9:00AM. Before you know it, we will be getting ready for the holidays, winter break, and then preparing for the California Standarized Testing (first week in May).

I hope the new school year finds you enthusiastic about the learning possibilities for your children at Cameron School.

Respectfully,

William M. Mannion

Your Cameron Principal

Kiss for a Cause: Cameron School's Principal Will Mannion kisses "Little One" to settle his bet with the students after they raised almost $1,300.00 to help the victims of the California Wildfires recently. Mr. Mannion promised that he would kiss a farm animal if they raised $500.00. "Little One" belongs to a Covina High School student and was provided by the Future Farmers of America Organization.
