California School Dress Code
“Dressed for Success”
Mandatory Uniform Code
2007-2008
Please help us to maintain a school wide dress code by purchasing the
appropriate clothing when shopping. Your child will be given two warning notes
for being out of compliance with dress code. Upon the third offense you will be
asked to bring a change of clothes to school.
The daily approved uniform for California School is:
Shirts/Blouses: Any solid color shirt, such as a polo, button-down or turtleneck is
acceptable. All shirts must have a collar. California Logo T-shirts are acceptable any
day of the week.
Pants/Shorts/, Skorts, Skirts/Jumpers: The following are acceptable: Navy, Navy plaid,
denim, khaki, olive or black. California Logo Sweat outfits are acceptable any day of
the week.
The following items are not accepted:
Hats Baggy or oversized clothing
Open-toed shoes Ragged edges on hems
Crop tops/midriff tops Crew neck shirts with logos
Tank tops Advertising tobacco, alcohol, etc.
Musical/Roller shoes Shirts without collars/striped shirts
Spiked bracelets/bracelets Chains
Dangling Earrings Fake tatoos
Dangling Belts Make up of any kind
Dyed hair
Exceptions:
During the winter and wet months, students may wear solid colored sweatpants in the
regular pant colors as long as they are not faded or oversized.
Dress code waivers must be approved each year by our principal. Forms are available at
the school office. Studies show that when we are “dressed for success” for work or school
our performance level is higher.
We sincerely appreciate your support of our school uniform policy.
